PERMISSION TO PROFIT
Many times we start a new year or a new season in our lives with lots of high hopes and big dreams for our business. Only to be side tracked by life’s circumstances, slowed down by lack of focus or abandon the goals we set all together due to shiny object syndrome. However, once face to face with poor results, we cue the regular excuses, “I’m too tired.” “I didn’t have enough time.” “People aren’t buying_______. “You don’t understand, my situation is different… etc. The truth is excuses will never help you manifest your dreams. They only help you to feel more comfortable being average. The fact that you are reading this newsletter is proof that being average is not the goal, so let’s change things up a bit and get you the results you really want.
You can have the most incredible 12 months you’ve ever had in your business and live the life that others only dream of by setting your intentions and following the secrets I’m about to share. An intention is an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result. In other words, it’s the practice of seeing the end first. It’s derived from the word intend: which means to have in mind as something to be done or brought about; plan.
Many times business owners want to look at outside circumstances as the blame for low sales. They say, “the economy is slow” or “people aren’t spending like they used to”. These statements are really just excuses. The truth is that there is no shortage of money in the world. People may be more selective on who they spend their money with, but they have NOT stopped spending.
So why isn’t your business bringing in the big bucks? Let’s look closer to home…If you’re not profiting the way you’d like it’s probably because of these three things:
Mindset: Your money mindset is key to amassing wealth. Before you’ll ever profit big, you must believe that you can. This process entails a lot of inner work. Napoleon Hill said, “Poverty is attracted to the mind that is favorable for it. Money is attracted to the mind that has been prepared for it. Poverty will seize the mind that is not occupied with money consciousness.”
Increase your money conscious by getting rid of your old thinking and adopting a new wealth mentality. Before I ever manifested large sums of money, I first became wealthy in my mind and heart. I purposefully spent time consuming information that helped me to get rid of mental blocks and hindering habits so that I could create a vacuum for wealth.
We are all taught a specific way of relating to money. Some people feel it is evil, others think talking about money is taboo…some may feel that if they get too much they will change in a bad way. These thoughts are the hidden barriers that stop you from earning the income you want to make in your business. They are the driving forces behind your daily action. When you change your thinking, you’ll change your life.
Intention: Set an intention to increase your profits. An intention is your aim or plans to achieve. When you purposefully set an intention to earn more…you will begin to earn more. One of my clients expressed how her company was hemorrhaging money and she had no idea how to fix it.
I suggested she use the Sales Profit Planner to intentionally set money goals on a weekly basis and track her results. Her first week of setting a money intention, she brought in $2,000. It was because she deliberately set her mind to aim for bringing in more money.
Actionable Goals: Are you setting money goals for your business? It is very important to have daily, weekly and monthly goals for profits in your business. Without actionable goals, how can you measure your success? You need benchmarks to reach, so set some today for your business. Start by determining what you need to bring in monthly to make a profit. Then break that number down to determine what you need weekly. Do it again to determine what you need to earn daily. All major corporations have daily money goals. So should you.
Be sure to pay attention to your numbers. Take time out daily to review where you are and determine what needs to be done to reach your goals. Reaching daily profit goals should encourage you along the way to earn more money to reach your ultimate goal. Your goal should be positive, specific, achievable and measurable!
Giving yourself permission to profit requires you to release the barriers that block your progress and embrace the action that will carry you to your next level. I encourage you to take some time today to really think about what may be stopping you from reaching your money goals and determine to do something different.
